Red Lake Nation Responds to FBI Search Warrant
Red Lake (trfnews.i234.me) — Red Lake Nation leaders have responded to an FBI search warrant involving a tribal family services building.
The warrant was executed at Ombimindwaa Gidinawemaaganinaadog, which means “Uplifting All Our Relatives.”
The building houses programs serving children and families within the Red Lake Nation.
Tribal Leaders Meet With Federal Agencies
Red Lake Nation said tribal leaders have met with representatives from two federal agencies.
Those agencies include the Bureau of Indian Affairs and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
Tribal officials said the Nation will continue working through the appropriate legal and government processes.
The statement did not identify the reason for the federal search warrant.
Officials also did not disclose what federal agents were seeking during the search.
Red Lake Nation said the matter involves sensitive and confidential information.
For that reason, tribal officials said they will not release specific details at this time.
Nation Asks Community to Respect Privacy
Tribal leaders asked the public to respect the privacy of children, families, and employees during the process.
The Nation said maintaining essential services remains a major focus.
Officials are also working to return affected programs to normal operations as quickly as possible.

Leaders said protecting the Nation also remains a central priority as the federal matter moves forward.

Red Lake Nation thanked Band members, employees, families, and communities for their patience and support.
