NDSU Women’s Golf Jumps to Second Place Finish at Eagle Invitational

WORLEY, Idaho – The North Dakota State women’s golf team jumped up four spots on the leaderboard after carding the second-lowest single round in program history to finish in second place at the Eagle Invitational on Monday afternoon at Circling Raven Golf Club.

The Bison (297-281—578) finished in second place in the 13-team tournament with a 36-hole total of 578, which is the lowest in NDSU history. The Bison jumped up four spots in the final round after posting the second-lowest single round in program history with a 281 (-7). CSU Northridge (286-289–575) finished in the top spot. The tournament shifted from a 54-hole format to a 36-hole event during the first round of play on Sunday due to course conditions.

Elise Hoven (70-70–140) finished -4 with a career-low 140 and came in tied for fourth place, while Norah Roberts (74-69–143) carded a -1 overall and finished in eighth place. Madi Hicks (75-69–144) also cracked the top 10 and finished tied for ninth place with a career-best 144.

Hannah Dunk (78-73–151) finished tied for 35th place and Cora Larson (79-73–152) was slotted tied for 38th place. Anna Huettl (83-76–159) competed as an individual and was positioned tied for 61st place.

The Bison will be back in action at the Diane Thomason Invitational in Iowa City, Iowa on Sept. 30.
