Mower County (trfnews.i234.me) — One person was hurt in a three-vehicle crash on Highway 56 in Waltham Township, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
The crash happened at 4:41 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 18, 2025. It occurred on Highway 56 near milepost 38. Road conditions were listed as snow and ice.
What happened
The State Patrol report says three vehicles were traveling southbound on Highway 56. A 2023 Ford F-250 was in front. A 2012 Chevrolet Sonic was behind the Ford. A 2003 Honda CR-V was behind the Chevrolet.
Officials say the vehicles collided near milepost 38. The report does not say what caused the first impact. It also does not list whether speed or following distance was a factor.
Alcohol was listed as not involved for the drivers in the report. Seat belts were listed as in use.
