GRAND FORKS, ND (trfnews.i234.me) – Dhuuh Mohamed Hassan, 49, has been charged with attempted gross sexual imposition, felonious restraint, and aggravated assault following a violent domestic incident in Grand Forks on Sept. 18. The charges include a Class A felony, which carries a maximum sentence of 20 years.
Police were called to an apartment complex at 12:19 a.m., where they found Hassan naked from the waist down, restraining a woman on the floor. The woman reported that Hassan tried to force himself on her, telling her she “owed him sex,” and repeatedly assaulted her when she resisted.
The woman also alleged that Hassan punched her and strangled her when she attempted to flee. Fearing for her life, she believed she was going to be raped. Hassan’s bond was set at $500,000, and a preliminary hearing is scheduled for Oct. 28
