He also allegedly demanded that she continue receiving or handling his messages.
The woman reported that Lopez warned something bad would happen if she refused.
The complaint says Lopez also made a statement about previously killing a woman in another country.
Prosecutors allege those statements caused the woman to fear for her safety.
She reportedly believed Lopez could travel to Norman County and carry out the alleged threat.
Former Relationship Cited
The woman told investigators that Lopez was her former boyfriend.
She said they had been separated for about one year and four months.
The complaint does not describe any physical confrontation connected to the new charge.
The prosecution instead focuses on the alleged phone calls and text messages.
Authorities allege the messages were made with intent to cause fear.
Prosecutors alternatively allege Lopez acted with reckless disregard for causing that fear.
