Wahpeton – Kasey Jean Mauer (Dimmen) passed away unexpectedly on August 31, 2026, at the age of 39 years, 2 months, and 20 days. Though her time was far too short, she touched countless lives with her kindness, strength, and vibrant spirit.
She was currently living in Wahpeton, ND. Kasey was born on June 11, 1987, to Teri (Cullen) Kjos and Mark Dimmen. She passed away peacefully with her loving family surrounding her in prayer at Sanford Hospital in Fargo, ND. Unfortunately, she had dealt with many health issues for several years that she did not openly share or complain about.
Kasey was born at Northwest Hospital in Thief River Falls on June 11, 1987. Life was never boring for Kasey with her siblings, Travis, Bradley, Jason, Kelsey, cousins, friends, or family by her side. Together, they filled their days with laughter, mischief, love, and lifelong memories.
Kasey was united in marriage to Nicholas Mauer on August 22, 2015, in Wahpeton, ND. Her passion in life was family, friends, and working with hair and esthetics. She attended school in Fargo, ND at T-Spa, and shortly thereafter, she and Nick moved to Wahpeton, ND, where she worked as a microblading and esthetic tech.
Kasey was a beautiful soul. From the time she was a baby, she was always a bubbly and happy person who enjoyed her friends, dancing, a girls’ night, decorating, family time, and always had a sense of humor that would make everyone laugh. She was very loving and accepting of everyone. It did not matter who or where you came from. She had a passion for crafting and making unique decorative pieces in her free time.
She is survived by her loving husband, Nick; two children, Masey and Morgan; her parents, Mark Dimmen, Teri Kjos (Denny); in-laws, Jerome and Linda Mauer; siblings, Travis Klaven (Peggy), Bradley Klaven (Kyla), Jason Klaven (Ashley), Kelsey Paradis (Ryan), Justin Kjos (Kristina), Lindsay Roberts (Jake), Whitney Otto (Trinity); and brothers-in-law, Jake (Ashley) Mauer, Michael Mauer; nieces and nephews, Devon Pulczinski, Cheyenne Martinson (Jaden), Waylon and Brevon Martinson, Brenden Klaven, Paizleigh and Kyeser Klaven, Jaycee, Nolan and Brekken Klaven, Isabelle, Kingston and Titan Paradis, Bryce and Tucker Kjos, Kannyn and Brandt Roberts, Mavryk, Bryleigh and Jase Otto, and Owen and Aiden Mauer. Kasey has a very large, loving family who cared deeply for her, including numerous cousins, aunts, and uncles.
Kasey was met at Heaven’s door by her grandparents Thomas and Marilyn Cullen, Selmer and Lois Dimmen.
The service will be held at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Wahpeton, ND, with Reverend Anthony Ahrendt, on Saturday, September 5, 2026. The visitation will be at 1 p.m. and the funeral at 2 p.m., with lunch and memories to follow.
