Crookston Woman Faces 3 Charges in Child Drug Case
Crookston (trfnews.i234.me) — A Crookston woman faces three charges following a July drug investigation.
Jayme Lee Walden, 37, is charged in Polk County District Court.
She faces two felony drug charges and one gross misdemeanor DWI charge.
The case is filed under Polk County court file 60-CR-26-1092.
Search Warrant Executed At Crookston Home
A child protection report led police to seek a search warrant for a North Front Street residence.
The report alleged ongoing drug sales involving children living at the home.
Police obtained the warrant and searched the residence on July 30, 2026.
Before the search, investigators saw Walden leave the home in a GMC Acadia.
Police contacted her later in a Crookston Walmart parking lot.
The complaint says Walden initially denied drug activity.
She later allegedly admitted using methamphetamine that morning.
Walden also told investigators that methamphetamine items could be found inside the garage.

Methamphetamine And Drug Items Reported
Investigators reported finding suspected methamphetamine, syringes, smoking devices, and other drug-related items.
A black bag allegedly contained about 1.8 grams of suspected methamphetamine.
Police also found a mirror containing residue that field-tested positive for methamphetamine.
A prescription bottle containing Suboxone was also found, according to the complaint.
Suboxone contains buprenorphine, which Minnesota classifies as a Schedule III controlled substance.
Complaint Alleges Children Delivered Suboxone
After receiving a Miranda warning, Walden provided another statement to investigators.
Prosecutors allege she admitted that drug sales had occurred from the residence.
Walden allegedly said children had been directed to deliver Suboxone to buyers at the door.
She allegedly told investigators the children were told they were delivering medicine.
The complaint says this activity had occurred since March 2026.
Walden was arrested and taken to the Northwest Regional Corrections Center.
DWI Charge Also Filed
Walden also provided a urine sample that field-tested positive for methamphetamine, according to prosecutors.
She had driven earlier that day before police contacted her.
Prosecutors charged her with third-degree DWI involving a controlled substance.
The complaint cites a previous DWI conviction from 2018 as an aggravating factor.
The most serious drug charge carries up to 20 years in prison.
It also carries a possible fine of $250,000.
Readers can review Minnesota’s third-degree controlled substance law.
The child methamphetamine exposure law is available under Minnesota Statute 152.137.
The charges are allegations and have not been proven in court.
Walden is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
