Grand Forks (trfnews.i234.me) ā Grand Forks Police say a suspect is in custody after an attempted robbery reported Wednesday evening at a business on South Washington Street.
Police identified the suspect as Logan D. Winkler, 30, of Brocket, North Dakota. Officers say Winkler has been arrested and is now charged with attempted robbery.
What the police say happened
According to police, officers were called at about 6:32 p.m. Wednesday. They say a man entered the store with a mask covering his face.
Police say the suspect handed an employee an envelope. Inside was a note that demanded money. The note also claimed the suspect was armed.
Investigators say the suspect left a short time later. Police say he fled without getting any money.

Investigation and arrest
Police say no other suspects are believed to be involved. They also say no additional charges have been announced at this time.
