West Fargo Rider Critically Hurt in I-94 Crash

Cass County (trfnews.i234.me) — A West Fargo rider suffered life-threatening injuries Saturday in an I-94 motorcycle crash.

Crash Happened on Exit 347

The crash happened around 2:25 p.m. on Aug. 1. It occurred on the westbound Exit 347 off-ramp in Cass County.

The 48-year-old rider was traveling west on Interstate 94. The motorcycle abruptly entered the Exit 347 off-ramp.

The rider then lost control while traveling along the ramp. He was thrown from the motorcycle during the crash.

Authorities said the man was not wearing a helmet. His name was not included in the initial crash report.

Sanford Ambulance transported the injured rider for emergency medical care.

Officials described his injuries as serious and life-threatening. No further update about his condition was included in the report.

The report did not identify any passengers. It also did not list another vehicle as being involved.

The North Dakota State Highway Patrol responded and began investigating the crash.

The Cass County Sheriff’s Office also assisted at the scene.

Other responders included the West Fargo Police Department.

The West Fargo Fire Department also provided emergency support.

Officials did not say how long the exit ramp was affected. They also did not report other injuries.

The Highway Patrol continues investigating what caused the rider to lose control.

Charges remain pending while investigators review the crash. Officials have not announced which possible charges are under consideration.
