FARGO, ND (trfnews.i234.me) – Fargo police responded to a report of a deceased individual at an apartment building in the 1300 block of Oak Manor Avenue South on Tuesday at 1:40 p.m. Upon arrival, officers suspected the body had been moved postmortem and launched an investigation. The Criminal Investigations Division identified a suspect, 26-year-old Fargo resident Terri Nesemeier, who had been in the deceased individual’s apartment after his death.

Detectives obtained a search warrant for Nesemeier’s home, where they discovered stolen property belonging to the deceased. Nesemeier was arrested on charges including tampering with evidence, theft of a credit card, and possession of stolen property. The cause of death is under investigation pending autopsy results, with preliminary findings suggesting no foul play. The name of the deceased will be released after next of kin notification is completed.
