WARROAD, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – Matthew Powassin of Warroad, Minnesota, is facing multiple criminal charges following a violent incident on July 31st. According to court documents, police responded to a residence where a female victim reported that Powassin was banging on her door with a knife in his hand.
The victim stated that Powassin stabbed the knife into the porch and lunged at her, resulting in a struggle that ended with both of them on the ground. A family member intervened and managed to pull Powassin off of her.
Powassin is now facing two felony assault charges, along with two misdemeanor charges for assault and disorderly conduct. The incident has raised significant concern within the community as the legal process unfolds.
