Lengby Man Charged After Mahnomen Traffic Stop
Mahnomen County (trfnews.i234.me) — A Lengby man faces a gross misdemeanor charge following a June traffic stop.
Aaron Cody Clark, 38, was charged in Mahnomen County District Court.
The complaint charges Clark with driving after license cancellation as inimical to public safety.
The alleged offense occurred on June 8, 2026, in Mahnomen County.
A criminal complaint contains allegations. Clark is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
Vehicle Reportedly Clocked Above Speed Limit
According to the complaint, a deputy was traveling east on 240th Street.
The deputy saw a tan Chevrolet Tahoe traveling west on the same road.
The vehicle was described as an early 2000s model with White Earth veteran registration.
Radar allegedly showed the Tahoe traveling about 43 mph.
The posted speed limit was 35 mph, according to the complaint.
The deputy reportedly recognized Clark as the driver when the vehicles passed.
Court documents state the deputy knew Clark was associated with the Tahoe.
Traffic Stop Leads to Charge
The deputy turned around and activated the patrol vehicle’s emergency lights.
The Tahoe then pulled over and stopped, the complaint states.
The deputy approached and allegedly found Clark sitting in the driver’s seat.
Authorities claim Clark’s driving status was canceled as inimical to public safety.
They also allege Clark knew, or should have known, about the cancellation.
Minnesota Statute 171.24 covers driving after suspension, revocation, or cancellation.
Subdivision 5 classifies certain violations as gross misdemeanors.
The complaint lists a maximum possible sentence of 364 days in jail.
It also lists a possible fine of up to $3,000.
Those penalties are maximum limits and do not represent a sentence.

The case was filed in Minnesota’s Ninth Judicial District.
