🚔 Belcourt Man Sentenced for Drug Crimes in Grand Forks County

GRAND FORKS, ND (trfnews.i234.me) – Tyler Gregory Thomas, a 24-year-old from Belcourt, North Dakota, pleaded guilty to three felony drug charges in Grand Forks County on July 29. The charges included Class A felony possession of at least 50 grams of methamphetamine with intent to deliver, Class B felony conspiracy to deliver fentanyl, and Class C felony possession of drug paraphernalia.

Thomas was sentenced to 20 years in prison, with 12.5 years suspended. He will serve seven and a half years, with credit for 181 days already served. Upon release, Thomas will be on supervised probation for three years. The charges stem from a January incident where law enforcement conducted a controlled fentanyl buy. The buyer, upon arrest, claimed to have purchased the fentanyl pills from Thomas and indicated that Thomas had an additional ounce of methamphetamine at his residence.
