Authorities said the boy suffered injuries that were not considered life-threatening. He was struck in the leg during the incident.

Dispatchers received reports of gunfire at 7:01 p.m. on Thursday, June 4. Deputies responded to the area in Cass Lake after the calls came in.

When they arrived, deputies learned several people had been shooting at each other. During the exchange, one boy was hit.

Victim Taken To Sanford Bemidji

Emergency medical aid was provided at the scene. The boy was then taken to Sanford Bemidji Medical Center for treatment.

Officials said his injuries were not life-threatening. His name and age were not released in the initial report.

No arrests were announced in the release. Authorities said several persons of interest have been identified.
