Roseau County (trfnews.i234.me) — An 82-year-old Baudette woman died Friday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 11 in Roseau County.
The crash was reported at 3:28 p.m. on May 29, 2026, in Spruce Township.
According to crash information, a 2000 Ford F250 was eastbound on Highway 11. It collided with a westbound 2013 Kia Sorento near the reported crash area.
The Minnesota State Patrol listed the crash as fatal. The report said road conditions were dry at the time.
Victim Identified In Fatal Crash
The driver of the Kia was identified as Barbara Lee Welberg, 82, of Baudette, Minnesota.
Welberg suffered fatal injuries in the crash. Authorities said she was wearing a seat belt.
Airbags deployed in the Kia. Alcohol was not listed as suspected in the crash report.
Second Driver Taken To Hospital
The Ford driver was identified as Shauna Rae Dokken, 43, of Roseau, Minnesota.
Dokken suffered non-life-threatening injuries. She was taken to LifeCare Medical Center.
Airbags were also deployed in the Ford. The crash report listed Dokken’s seat belt use as unknown.
Alcohol was not listed as suspected for either driver.
Agencies Responded To The Scene
Several agencies assisted at the crash scene.
They included the Roseau County Sheriff’s Office, Roseau Police Department, Roseau Fire, and Roseau EMS.
