Mahnomen Woman Charged In Home Assault Case
Mahnomen (trfnews.i234.me) — A Mahnomen woman is facing felony and misdemeanor charges after a reported assault inside an occupied home.
According to a criminal complaint filed in Mahnomen County District Court, Sheila Mae Fineday, 33, is charged with first-degree burglary, domestic assault, and fifth-degree assault.
The case was filed in Minnesota’s Ninth Judicial District under court file number 44-CR-26-272.
Reported Assault On South Main Street
The complaint says the incident happened on May 9, 2026, shortly before 10:30 p.m.
Authorities responded to a report of an assault at 312 South Main Street in Mahnomen.
Alex Robert Beaulieu told police he was inside his home with Justine Louise Stone.
Beaulieu reported that Fineday entered through the back door without permission.
He said Fineday then began hitting him in the face with a closed fist.
Beaulieu told investigators he tried to restrain Fineday to stop the assault.
He said he told Fineday to leave the home several times.
According to the complaint, Fineday kicked Beaulieu in the face after he released her.

The complaint says Beaulieu went to the bathroom to wash blood from his face.
At that point, Fineday allegedly began assaulting Stone.
Stone told police that Fineday tackled her.
She said Fineday then punched and struck her face and arms.
Stone reported that she fought Fineday off and pushed her away.
Fineday then left the home and walked toward the Wild Rice Lounge, according to court documents.
Authorities reported seeing injuries on both Beaulieu and Stone.
Beaulieu had bloody lips, facial redness, and swelling, according to the complaint.
Stone had swelling near her left eye and injuries to her arm and hand.
Charges Filed In Mahnomen County
The complaint says Fineday later admitted she walked into the home on her own.
She also stated she was intoxicated, according to court documents.
A preliminary breath test reportedly showed a blood alcohol concentration of 0.144.
Fineday was arrested and taken to the Tri-County Correctional Facility.
The first-degree burglary charge carries a maximum sentence of up to 20 years in prison.
It also carries a possible $35,000 fine, or both.
The domestic assault and fifth-degree assault charges are misdemeanors.
Each carries a maximum sentence of 90 days in jail or a $1,000 fine.
