FERGUS FALLS, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – A 25-year-old man from Slayton, Minnesota, is facing numerous criminal charges after a carjacking incident in Fergus Falls this week.

On July 8th, police responded to a report of a man stealing items from the Holiday gas station without paying. According to court documents, the suspect, identified as Garhok Gatchay, jumped into a vehicle at a gas pump and ordered the driver to take him away. When the driver attempted to call the police, Gatchay took the phone and threatened that someone was going to die tonight. The driver then jumped out of the vehicle, and Gatchay drove off with it.

The stolen vehicle was later found at Nelson Ford, having sustained over $112,000 worth of damage after colliding with a parked car. Police eventually located Gatchay at a nearby Cenex, where he had stolen more items and attempted to flee on foot before being apprehended.

Garhok Gatchay is now facing several charges, including carjacking, interrupting a 911 call, theft, damage to property, reckless driving, fleeing, and obstructing the legal process.
