Roseau County (trfnews.i234.me) — A Roseau man is facing two gross misdemeanor charges after a reported domestic incident.
Damien Michael John Tuura, 19, is charged in Roseau County District Court.
The charges include domestic assault and unlawful firearm possession.
The case was filed under court file number 68-CR-26-242.
The alleged incident happened on April 26, 2026, in Roseau County.
Domestic Call Reported In Roseau County
According to the complaint, deputies responded to a domestic violence call near State Highway 11.
Dispatch reported that the male party may have had a pistol on his hip.
Deputies arrived and made contact with Tuura outside the residence.
Another deputy spoke with a woman inside the home.
The woman told deputies Tuura came to the home and banged on the doors.
She also said Tuura went inside to get firearms before deputies arrived.
Pregnant Woman Reported Being Pushed
The complaint says the woman reported being pushed in the stomach.
She told deputies she was five months pregnant.
She said Tuura pushed her while trying to get guns from a closet.
The woman also reported that a baby was inside a back bedroom.
She told deputies the firearms were moved to another person’s truck.
She described the firearms as a 12-gauge shotgun and a .22-caliber rifle.
She also reported that ammunition was with the firearms.
Loaded Firearms Reported Found
Deputies later found two firearms matching the woman’s description.
The complaint says both firearms were loaded.
Tuura allegedly told deputies neither firearm should have been loaded.
The complaint also says Tuura was on probation.
Authorities reported he was prohibited from possessing firearms.
Tuura was arrested and taken to the Roseau County Detention Center.

The domestic assault charge cites Minnesota Statute 609.2242.
The firearm possession charge cites Minnesota Statute 624.713.
Both charges are listed as gross misdemeanors in the complaint.
The complaint says Tuura had a prior domestic assault conviction on April 7, 2026.
Roseau County District Court is part of Minnesota’s Ninth Judicial District.
