Bemidji (trfnews.i234.me) — A Bemidji woman is facing two criminal charges after a late-night traffic stop in Beltrami County, according to a court complaint filed in Minnesota District Court.

Prosecutors have charged Rasharon Kaye King with gross misdemeanor driving while impaired and misdemeanor driving after revocation. The complaint says the case stems from a stop on March 7, 2026, in Bemidji.

Traffic Stop Led to Arrest

According to the complaint, police stopped a white Chevrolet Impala near Paul Bunyan Drive Northwest and Delton Avenue Northwest at about 11:50 p.m.

The complaint says the vehicle had a loud exhaust. It then stopped in the parking lot at 1171 Paul Bunyan Drive Northwest.

Investigators identified the driver as Rasharon Kaye King. Court records say officers saw signs of possible impairment during the stop. Those signs included constant hand movement, glassy eyes, and poor pupil response to light.

The complaint also says King’s driving privileges were revoked at the time of the stop.

Alleged Drug Use Detailed in Complaint

According to court records, King took field sobriety tests, except for the one-leg stand. That test was not done because of strong winds.

The complaint says King did not perform the completed tests in a satisfactory way.

Investigators also wrote that King admitted using fentanyl the night before. After being taken to the hospital, the complaint says she also admitted using methamphetamine.

Police later obtained a search warrant for a blood or urine sample. The complaint says King agreed to provide a blood sample after seeing the signed warrant.

Prior Revocation Cited

The complaint says King’s license revocation began on November 15, 2025. That revocation was tied to an earlier Beltrami County impaired driving case.

Prosecutors also listed several pending cases in the complaint. Those include a third-degree DWI case, a careless driving case, a driving after revocation case, and a fourth-degree DWI case.

The new charges include alleged violation of Minnesota Statute 169A.20 and Minnesota Statute 171.24. Case information can also be tracked through the Minnesota Judicial Branch.

As with all criminal cases, the charges are only allegations unless proven in court.
