Polk County (trfnews.i234.me) — A rollover crash in King Township sent an Apple Valley man to the hospital Friday morning after his vehicle left Highway 2 and rolled into a ditch in Polk County.
Crash Report Details
The crash happened at about 10:05 a.m. on March 6, 2026. The incident took place on the westbound Highway 2 near milepost 65 in King Township.
According to the crash report, a 2007 Jeep Liberty was traveling west when the driver lost control. The SUV then rolled into the ditch.
Road conditions were reported as snow and ice. Those conditions likely made travel more dangerous at the time of the crash.
The driver was identified as Ariel Luis Barnett, 43, of Apple Valley, Minnesota. Authorities said Barnett suffered non-life-threatening injuries. He was taken to Essentia Hospital for care.
The report said Barnett was wearing a seat belt. Alcohol was not suspected in the crash. The Jeep’s airbags did not deploy.
Emergency Response
Several agencies responded to the scene. They included the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, the Minnesota DNR, and Essentia EMS.
First responders worked the crash scene and helped manage the roadway. No other vehicles were listed in the incident report.
