Roseau County (trfnews.i234.me) — Lamesha Keneisha Spivey, 28, of Roseau, has been charged after an incident at Badger School, according to a criminal complaint filed in Roseau County District Court.

The complaint says the case stems from a February 23, 2026, report at the school. Authorities were called after staff reported that a parent was using excessive discipline on a child.

What The Complaint Alleges

According to the complaint, school staff asked for law enforcement at about 12:34 p.m. Deputies were told a parent was excessively disciplining a child inside the school.

The complaint says a school administrator saw Spivey strike her 5-year-old daughter several times with a belt in the elementary girls’ bathroom. The child was reportedly clothed during the incident.

Investigators also allege the discipline caused a disturbance inside the school. The complaint says the school went into a soft lockdown after the incident.

According to the complaint, Spivey was later told to leave the building but refused. Law enforcement then arrived and spoke with her at the school.

The complaint says Spivey admitted she came to the school to discipline her child. Court records also state that deputies later arrested her without incident.
