ERDAHL TOWNSHIP, Grant County (trfnews.i234.me) — A 28-year-old woman was hurt after a one-vehicle crash on eastbound Interstate 94 Wednesday afternoon. The crash happened near mile marker 80 at 1:45 p.m. on November 26. The Minnesota State Patrol released the report later that day.

According to the State Patrol, a 2017 Toyota Corolla was traveling east on Interstate 94. The driver lost control on the snow and ice in the traffic lane. The car slid into the center median. The Toyota then hit the median safety cables.

The report lists the road condition as snow and ice at the time of the crash. Troopers say no other vehicles were involved. The crash report is available through the Minnesota State Patrol website. Officials say the information is believed to be complete.

The Toyota Corolla was driven by Kathryn I. Stoltz, 28. Her hometown was not listed in the report. She suffered non-life-threatening injuries. She was taken to Alexandria Hospital for treatment. The State Patrol notes that she was wearing a seat belt. Alcohol was not involved.

A passenger, Tanner John Stoltz, 40, was also in the car. He was not injured in the crash. He was wearing a seat belt as well. Alcohol was not reported as a factor for him either.

Ashby Fire and Rescue responded to the scene. Ashby Ambulance handled medical transport from the crash site. Emergency crews worked along the snowy interstate while traffic moved past the scene.

The case is listed under reference number ICR 25902270. The State Patrol lists the last update at 3:06 p.m. on November 26. Officials say the crash details are believed to be complete at this time.

Drivers in west central Minnesota are urged to slow down when roads turn slick. Snow and ice can cause sudden loss of control, even at normal speeds. Road and travel updates are available on the Minnesota 511 travel system, which provides live traffic and weather information.
