Otter Tail County ( trfnews.i234.me ) – Officials in Otter Tail County are investigating the death of a man found in a field northeast of Elizabeth on Tuesday night. The incident was reported shortly before 10 p.m. on November 18.
According to the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office, an 84-year-old man had been burning off a farm field earlier in the evening. A friend later discovered the man unresponsive in the same field. Emergency crews arrived, but the man was already deceased.
The sheriff’s office, Elizabeth Fire Department, and Ringdahl Ambulance responded to the scene. The man’s body was transported to the Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy.
The Minnesota State Fire Marshal’s Office and the sheriff’s office are conducting a joint investigation. At this time, authorities say no crime is suspected.
