Grand Forks County (trfnews.i234.me) – Roof Fire Reported at Vacant Grand Forks Burger King
Grand Forks firefighters responded to a fire on the roof of the vacant Burger King on Gateway Drive late Tuesday night. The call came in at 9:44 p.m.
Crews arrived and found flames on the roof of the closed restaurant. Firefighters quickly reached the burning area and put out the fire. Officials said the flames did not spread far, and damage inside the building was minimal.
The building has been vacant for some time. Fire crews checked for hot spots and verified that the structure was safe after the fire was out.
The cause remains under investigation. Fire officials have not released a damage estimate. No injuries were reported.
