Roundabout reminder

Drivers must yield to traffic already in the circle. Drivers should slow down before the crosswalk.

Drivers should look left for oncoming traffic. Enter only when the lane is clear.

Stay in your lane inside the circle. Use your turn signal when you exit.

  • Slow down as you approach.
  • Yield at the sign.
  • Do not stop inside the circle.
  • Watch for walkers and bikes.

Safety agencies share roundabout tips online. MnDOT has a safety page for Minnesota drivers.

The Federal Highway Administration says roundabouts reduce conflict points. It also calls them a proven safety tool.

After a crash

Move to a safe spot if you can. Call 911 if anyone is hurt.

Exchange insurance and contact details. Take photos if it is safe.

Report serious damage to law enforcement. Ask for medical care if you feel pain.
