One Dead, Two Injured in Early Morning Fargo Crash

FARGO, N.D. — (trfnews.i234.me) – A 23-year-old man was killed and two others were injured, one critically, in a single-vehicle crash early Sunday morning in Fargo, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.

The crash happened around 2:30 a.m. on October 26 in the 1200 block of 10th Street North. Authorities say a 2012 Dodge Journey, driven by 18-year-old Holden Lee of Fargo, was traveling north at a high rate of speed when Lee lost control of the SUV while crossing 12th Avenue North.

The vehicle struck the rear bumper of a parked car in a driveway before crashing into a large tree along the boulevard. The impact caused significant damage to the vehicle.

Passenger Juma Uredi, 23, of Fargo, died from injuries sustained in the crash. The second passenger, 31-year-old Arlentin Arcoren of Aberdeen, South Dakota, suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported to Sanford Medical Center in Fargo along with the driver, who sustained serious injuries.

Road and weather conditions were good at the time of the crash. Seat belt use and potential charges remain under investigation.

Responding agencies included the North Dakota Highway Patrol, Fargo Police Department, NDSU Police Department, Fargo Fire Department, and Sanford Ambulance.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol continues to investigate the incident.
