Grand Forks Woman Charged With Terrorizing, Theft
GRAND FORKS, N.D. (trfnews.i234.me) — A Grand Forks woman is facing multiple felony charges after allegedly threatening a man with a knife during a confrontation earlier this month.
Khara Vance has been charged with felony terrorizing and felony theft of property following an incident that occurred on October 9 at an apartment located at 1804 Continental Drive in Grand Forks, according to court documents.
Authorities say a male victim reported that Vance chased him out of the apartment while brandishing a kitchen knife and yelling, “I’m going to kill you.” The victim told police he was in fear for his life and believed she intended to harm him.
According to the complaint, the victim left his backpack containing a phone and an iPad behind as he fled. Officers later reported that Vance refused to return the items, which were valued at approximately $1,500.
Vance was later taken into custody and booked into the Grand Forks County Correctional Center. She now faces two felony charges — one for terrorizing and another for theft of property.
The Grand Forks Police Department reminds residents to report domestic disputes or threats immediately to ensure public safety. Resources for victims of domestic violence are available through the Community Violence Intervention Center in Grand Forks.
