One Dead After House Fire In Mandan Thursday Afternoon

MANDAN, N.D. (trfnews.i234.me— Authorities are investigating after a deadly house fire in Mandan left one man dead Thursday afternoon.

According to the Mandan City Fire Department, firefighters were dispatched at 12:01 p.m. to the 1100 block of 11th Street Southeast for reports of a residential fire. When crews arrived, they discovered that the blaze had self-extinguished sometime before their arrival.

During a search of the home, firefighters located the body of an adult male inside. Emergency responders confirmed the victim was deceased at the scene. His identity is being withheld until family members are notified.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Mandan Fire Department and the Mandan Police Department. Authorities say the circumstances surrounding how and when the fire started are still being determined.

Officials have not released any information indicating foul play. Additional updates will be provided once the medical examiner’s report and investigation are complete.

Residents are reminded to ensure that smoke alarms are working properly and to practice home fire safety precautions.
