GRAND FORKS, ND (trfnews.i234.me) – A Grand Forks man is facing criminal charges after a strange incident with police.
According to court records, 46-year-old Larry Desjarlais was pulled over on May 19th in Grand Forks for a suspended license. While the officer was writing the citation, Desjarlais opened the door and jumped into the passenger seat of the patrol vehicle. The officer called for backup, pushed him out, and handcuffed him outside the vehicle. When asked why he had entered the marked patrol car without permission, Desjarlais said he “wanted to show officers that he was cool.” He was cited for driving under suspension and now faces charges of felony unlawful entry into a vehicle and misdemeanor obstruction of a government function.
