Otter Tail County (trfnews.i234.me) – A Fergus Falls man is now facing a felony charge after a wild high-speed motorcycle pursuit on April 25, 2025.
According to a criminal complaint, Harvey Dean Verdal Heronemus, 22, failed to pull over for Minnesota State Trooper Kelsen Burrows near Frieberg Avenue and Lincoln Avenue in Fergus Falls. While one motorcycle complied, Heronemus allegedly sped off, blew through a stop sign, and disappeared at high speeds.
Nearly a week later, Trooper Burrows spotted the same motorcycle in a nearby parking lot. Officers confirmed the bike belonged to Heronemus, noting folded license plates and expired registration. He initially denied fleeing but later admitted he “doesn’t remember the days very well because he smokes a lot of marijuana.”
Heronemus now faces the following charges:
-
Felony Fleeing a Peace Officer in a Motor Vehicle
-
Reckless Driving
-
Operating an Unregistered Vehicle
If convicted, he could face up to 3 years in prison and thousands in fines.
