Grand Forks County, ND (trfnews.i234.me)Walker Michael Poitra, 18, is facing five Class A felony counts of attempted murder after allegedly firing multiple rounds at a vehicle occupied by five minors on January 3.

A preliminary hearing held Friday, June 20, confirmed probable cause to proceed, and Judge Theodore Sandberg ordered the case to move forward. Poitra entered not guilty pleas to the felony charges, as well as felony terrorizing and reckless endangerment, and two Class A misdemeanors.

The shooting allegedly occurred in two bursts. Two minors were injured in the second round of gunfire. Witnesses claimed Poitra had displayed the handgun earlier, removing bullets to prove it was real.

Co-defendant Mason Wyatt Allery, 17, also pleaded not guilty after their juvenile cases were transferred to adult court. His final conference is set for July 31, while Poitra’s is scheduled for September 11.
