Ramsey County (trfnews.i234.me) — A shootout in a Saint Paul neighborhood has left two teenagers with gunshot wounds to the neck and multiple homes riddled with bullet holes. Two suspects—21-year-old Damarie’Yea John Bain and 18-year-old Markell Eugene Moore—have been charged.
The chaos erupted around 7:30 p.m. on June 6 near Frank and Beech Streets. Witnesses say a man exited a blue Infiniti with a handgun and opened fire, prompting a return of gunfire and mayhem that damaged cars and homes. Surveillance footage helped police link both suspects to the scene.
Bain was later found hiding in a woman’s home, reportedly admitting to being “in a gunfight.” A handgun with a scratched-off serial number was recovered. Moore showed up at the hospital with a neck wound and denied involvement, despite clothing that matched a gunman caught on camera.
Bain faces assault and weapons charges. Moore is charged with felony drive-by shooting. Both remain in custody and are expected in court.
