Thief River Falls (trfnews.i234.me) — A woman has been cited for misdemeanor prostitution in connection with activities at a massage parlor in downtown Thief River Falls.

According to law enforcement sources, Yueping Wang of Thief River Falls is accused of offering or agreeing to be hired for sexual services—a charge applicable when the client is 18 years or older. The citation reportedly stemmed from a citizen complaint, but the actual operation was carried out by the Pennington and Marshall County Sheriff’s Departments.

Thief River Falls Police Chief Marissa Adam confirmed her department was not involved in the investigation. Officers from the sheriff’s departments allegedly went inside the business and issued the citation, though no formal probable cause statement was filed due to the nature of the charge being a misdemeanor.

Further details about the sting or surveillance tactics used remain undisclosed at this time.

We’ve contacted the involved sheriff’s offices and will provide updates as more information becomes available.
