It was reported as a disturbance.

An officer arrived and found Jackson with several family members.

Records say Jackson had been fighting with a sibling.

Both women had injuries, records say.

They also appeared intoxicated.

Records say the fight upset an older relative in the home.

Both women were arrested and placed in squad cars, records say.

Jackson then began banging on the squad car door, records say.

An officer went to speak with her.

The officer tried to close the door several times.

Records say Jackson blocked the door with her hands and feet.

Records say she then spat in the officer’s face.

Jail transport allegations

Records say Jackson continued to yell during the drive to the Becker County Jail.

She yelled at another officer, records say.

Records say she used profanity and insults.

Records also say she threatened to beat or kill the officer.

Charges and plea deal

Jackson was sentenced for felony fourth-degree assault of a peace officer.

A disorderly conduct charge was dropped under a plea agreement.

The fourth-degree assault statute is listed as Minnesota Statute 609.2231.

Sentence details

On Dec. 29, Judge Michelle Lawson imposed a one-year prison term.

The term was stayed for three years.

Jackson must serve 30 days in jail, with credit for three days served.

The time may be served on electronic home monitoring.

The monitoring cost is Jackson’s responsibility.
