Hennepin County (trfnews.i234.me) — In a disturbing update from Minneapolis, Hennepin County experienced its first confirmed shooting death since February 7. On Saturday night, April 19, at around 10:17 p.m., police responded to multiple gunfire reports in the 2000 block of West River Road North.

When officers arrived, they found a vehicle that had crashed into the garage entrance of a residential apartment building. Inside was a man in his 20s, fatally shot. Evidence of gunfire was found in the surrounding parking lot. Minneapolis Police secured the area and conducted a full canvas of the scene. Forensic experts gathered evidence as investigators continue to unravel the tragic sequence of events.

Chief Brian O’Hara expressed deep concern about such violence occurring so close to a densely occupied residential space. No arrests have been made at this time. Authorities urge anyone with information to step forward.

The identity of the victim and official cause of death will be released by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner.
