Saint Paul Park, Washington County (trfnews.i234.me)—A tragic fatal crash occurred on April 5, 2025, at 07:39 on the southbound Highway 61 ramp to 70th Street in Saint Paul Park, Washington County. A 2020 Honda Civic, driven by Michael Alton Huset, 68, of South Saint Paul, lost control while exiting onto 70th Street. At the top of the ramp, the vehicle struck a concrete wall, causing significant damage.
Huset was transported to Regions Hospital by ambulance, where he was pronounced deceased from his injuries. He was wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash, and alcohol was not involved. Airbags deployed in the vehicle, but despite the safety measures, the injuries proved fatal.
The road conditions were dry at the time of the crash, and emergency responders from Washington County Sheriff’s Office, Saint Paul Park Police Department, and Cottage Grove Fire were on the scene. This tragic incident underscores the importance of road safety and caution, even under dry conditions.
