7,000 Turkeys Perish in Barn Fire

STEARNS COUNTY, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office reported a devastating barn fire on April 30th, resulting in the loss of 7,000 turkeys.

Emergency services responded to a call about a turkey barn fire on Mamic Lake Road in Sock Center Township around 10:30 p.m.

The barn, measuring 64×200 feet, was fully engulfed upon their arrival. Initial findings suggest the fire originated in the mechanical room on the northwest side of the building.

Property owner Pete Clap, 46, confirmed the presence of approximately 7,000 turkeys in the barn at the time of the fire. Sadly, the barn was deemed a total loss
