    These riders need to learn more about defensive driving and probably take an ABATE riding course.
    Additionally, wearing proper equipment is key.

  2. Too many of my friends are sadly gone due to being struck by cars and some deer. As a long term rider, It's become something I've avoided doing for several years. It's not worth being afraid before you even get on the bike. In a vehicle, I've put safe distance between myself and riders only to have people swerve in front of me to fill the safety gap a rider needs in the event he/she needs to lay the bike down. I'm not sure if people taking drivers ed actually remember 99% of the class and are just handed something they shouldn't be allowed to have.
