RAMSEY COUNTY, N.D. (trfnews.i234.me) – In a significant legal development, the North Dakota Supreme Court has dismissed two counts of gross sexual imposition from the record of Howard Anthony Studhorse, 63, of Devils Lake. This decision came after an appeal revealed that two of the charges duplicated facts from other counts. Originally sentenced on July 19, 2023, to 20 years in prison for five counts of gross sexual imposition and an additional misdemeanor charge, Studhorse’s sentence remains largely intact despite the dismissed counts. The court maintained his 30-year sentence, with 20 years to be served in prison, followed by 10 years of supervised probation. Studhorse has already served over three years in custody.
