MONTICELLO, MINNESOTA (trfnews.i234.me) – A tragic multi-vehicle crash on eastbound I-94 at milepost 194 in Wright County on the evening of June 18, 2025, has left one person dead and multiple injured.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2019 Chevrolet Traverse, a 2023 Ford F350, a 2012 Ford Focus, and a 2016 Freightliner Cascadia were all traveling east when a rear-end collision occurred under dry road conditions.
Susan Rintoul, 69, of Minot, ND, a passenger in the Traverse, died at the scene. Authorities report she was not wearing a seat belt. The driver, Richard Rintoul, 71, suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Gabrielle West, 24, of Hudson, WI, driver of the Focus.

Mohamud Liben, 38, of Roseville, MN, driver of the Freightliner, was uninjured.
Emergency responders included Wright County SO, Monticello Fire, CentraCare EMS, and Allina EMS.
