According to a criminal complaint, the case involves Raymond A. Jackson<\/strong> of Bemidji, Minnesota.
\nCourt documents say the incident happened on November 29.
\nDeputies were sent to a Bemidji apartment for a report of domestic violence.
\nThe report said a woman had been assaulted inside the residence.<\/p>\n

When deputies arrived, they went into the apartment unit.
\nThey found a woman crying in the bathroom, according to the complaint.
\nThe woman had blood around her mouth and nose.
\nShe told officers she had been assaulted during an argument with Jackson.
\nShe said she feared more violence if the situation continued.<\/p>\n

The woman reported that Jackson grabbed her by the tank top and her hair.
\nShe said he tried to drag her out of the apartment doorway.
\nShe told deputies she fought back to get away from him.
\nAt one point, she bit his hand, trying to break free.
\nThe complaint says she was finally able to pull away and hide in the bathroom.<\/p>\n

Jackson later gave a different version of events, according to court records.
\nHe claimed the woman was throwing things around the apartment.
\nHe told deputies he held her down by the shoulders to stop her.
\nHe also said she bit his hand during that struggle.
