Cass County\u00a0<\/strong>(trfnews.i234.me)\u00a0<\/a>\u2013 A Fargo man is facing charges after a reported knife threat near a West Fargo restaurant.<\/p>\n

According to a criminal complaint, the incident happened on November 27 in West Fargo, North Dakota.
\nA man told police he was walking near the restaurant, Mr Wok, that evening.
\nHe said the encounter began as he walked along the sidewalk.<\/p>\n

The man said Dana R. Daugherty<\/strong> got out of a vehicle and came toward him.
\nCourt documents say Daugherty then pulled out a switchblade-style knife.
\nThe man reported that Daugherty opened the knife during the encounter.<\/p>\n

According to the complaint, the man said Daugherty threatened to kill him.
\nHe told officers he feared for his safety at that point.
\nThe man tried to call 911 on his phone during the incident.<\/p>\n

Court records say Daugherty then knocked the phone from the man\u2019s hand.
\nThe complaint states the call could not go through at that moment.
\nThe man later spoke with officers about what happened.
\nNo injuries were listed in the court paperwork.<\/p>\n

Investigators later went to a Fargo residence linked to Daugherty.
\nAccording to the complaint, officers found him at that address.
\nCourt records say Daugherty admitted there had been an altercation with the other man.
\nHe was then taken into custody.<\/p>\n

Cass County prosecutors have charged Dana R. Daugherty with felony interference with a telephone during an emergency call.
\nHe also faces a misdemeanor attempted assault charge.
\nBoth counts are tied to the reported threat near Mr Wok.
