GRAND FORKS COUNTY, N.D. (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>)<\/strong> Several fire departments responded to a house fire north of Grand Forks on Saturday evening.<\/p>\n

The fire was reported around 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 10, 2026.<\/p>\n

The location was on 79th Avenue North, off North Washington Street.<\/p>\n

Photos shared from the Manvel area show heavy damage to the home.<\/p>\n

As of this report, no injuries have been reported.<\/p>\n

Manvel Fire Department Leads Response<\/h2>\n

The Manvel Fire Department was the lead agency at the scene.<\/p>\n

Crews worked to contain the fire and protect nearby property.<\/p>\n

The cause of the fire has not been released.<\/p>\n

Officials have not said how many people were inside the home.<\/p>\n

Water Had To Be Hauled In<\/h2>\n

Firefighters faced a major challenge at this location.<\/p>\n

There is no nearby hydrant system for emergency water supply.<\/p>\n

Because of that, water had to be hauled to the scene.<\/p>\n

Several departments were called in to move water with tanker trucks.<\/p>\n

Those assisting included Thompson, Gilby, Emerado, and Niagara.<\/p>\n

This type of response is often called a \u201ctanker shuttle.\u201d<\/p>\n

It can require many trips to keep enough water flowing.<\/p>\n

No Injuries Reported<\/h2>\n

At this time, there are no reports of injuries.<\/p>\n

Damage to the home is described as heavy.<\/p>\n

It is not clear if the home is a total loss.<\/p>\n

Investigators may review the scene once conditions are safe.<\/p>\n
