Polk County (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>)<\/strong> \u2014 A Winger woman faces DWI and obstruction charges after a crash at a local bar, according to a criminal complaint.<\/p>\n

Patricia Kaye Polley, 71, of Winger, is charged in Polk County District Court.<\/p>\n

The charges include gross misdemeanor third-degree driving while impaired.<\/p>\n

She is also charged with misdemeanor DWI and misdemeanor obstruction of the legal process.<\/p>\n

Crash reported at the Winger bar<\/h2>\n

According to the complaint, deputies were called to the \u201cLiquor Pigs\u201d bar in Winger.<\/p>\n

The call came in at about 11:54 p.m. on January 6, 2026.<\/p>\n

Dispatch first reported a customer who needed medical help.<\/p>\n

When law enforcement arrived, they found a black 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee.<\/p>\n

The Jeep was crashed into the side of the building, the complaint says.<\/p>\n

Polley was still in the driver\u2019s seat, with bystanders around the vehicle.<\/p>\n

Witnesses describe events before the crash<\/h2>\n

Witnesses told deputies Polley fell earlier that night.<\/p>\n

They said she hit her face on the bar, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n

Staff then stopped serving her alcohol, witnesses reported.<\/p>\n

When medical responders arrived, Polley appeared to panic, the complaint says.<\/p>\n

Witnesses said she tried to leave in her Jeep.<\/p>\n

One witness told deputies he followed her to the vehicle.<\/p>\n

He said he reached into the driver\u2019s door to try to shut off the engine.<\/p>\n

He reported she drove into the building anyway, the complaint states.<\/p>\n

Claimed struggle at the driver\u2019s seat<\/h2>\n

Deputies ordered Polley to get out of the Jeep, the complaint says.<\/p>\n

She was described as uncooperative.<\/p>\n

The complaint says she reached for the gear shift.<\/p>\n

A deputy then pulled her from the driver\u2019s seat, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n

Polley later admitted she drank \u201ca lot,\u201d the complaint says.<\/p>\n

A preliminary breath test showed a 0.17 alcohol concentration.<\/p>\n

That is more than double Minnesota\u2019s legal driving limit.<\/p>\n

Bail and release conditions<\/h2>\n

Court records say bail was set at $0 with conditions.<\/p>\n

Bail was set at $12,000 without conditions.<\/p>\n

Conditions include staying law-abiding and making all court dates.<\/p>\n

They also include staying out of bars and liquor stores.<\/p>\n
