Minneapolis<\/strong> (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>) \u2014 A 37-year-old woman was killed Wednesday during an ICE operation in south Minneapolis.<\/p>\n

What happened<\/h2>\n

City officials said the shooting happened near East 34th Street and Portland Avenue, just after 9:30 a.m.<\/p>\n

Minneapolis firefighters pulled the woman from her vehicle and started life-saving care.<\/p>\n

She was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center, where she later died.<\/p>\n

The Minneapolis City Council identified her as Renee Nicole Macklin Good, 37.<\/p>\n

Federal officials said an ICE agent fired after the driver used her vehicle as a weapon.<\/p>\n

About the victim<\/h2>\n

Family members said Good was a mother of three and a U.S. citizen.<\/p>\n

They said she moved to Minneapolis after living in Kansas City, Missouri.<\/p>\n

Her family said she had just dropped off her young son at school.<\/p>\n

Conflicting accounts on the video<\/h2>\n

Assistant DHS Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said \u201crioters\u201d blocked ICE vehicles during targeted operations.<\/p>\n

She said the driver tried to run over agents, and the shooting was self-defense.<\/p>\n

But Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey said he reviewed the video and rejected that explanation.<\/p>\n

Videos shared publicly show agents approaching the SUV and pulling at the driver\u2019s door.<\/p>\n

The vehicle moves a short distance before shots are fired into the driver\u2019s side window.<\/p>\n

Local video analysis said the agent was several feet from the SUV at the gunfire moment.<\/p>\n

Investigation and response<\/h2>\n

Minneapolis police said there is no sign Good was a target of an investigation.<\/p>\n

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension and the FBI are investigating the shooting.<\/p>\n

Gov. Tim Walz said he issued a warning order to prepare the Minnesota National Guard.<\/p>\n

Walz urged peaceful protest and said the state wants a full investigation.<\/p>\n

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem called the incident \u201cdomestic terrorism\u201d at a briefing.<\/p>\n

Hennepin County Attorney Mary Moriarty said she wants a local and transparent review.<\/p>\n

By Wednesday night, a large vigil formed near the shooting scene.<\/p>\n
