Thief River Falls (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>) \u2013 A Thief River Falls man faces new traffic charges after a nighttime stop.<\/p>\n

According to a criminal complaint, 55-year-old Brian Gregory Sandahl<\/strong> of Thief River Falls was stopped on November 17.<\/p>\n

The sheriff\u2019s office reported the traffic stop at about 10:19 p.m. in the 100 block of Gabbi Court.<\/p>\n

Sandahl has been charged with failure to provide insurance and driving after revocation. He was arrested at the scene.<\/p>\n

The complaint says a deputy checked Sandahl\u2019s name through the National Crime Information Center database.<\/p>\n

That check allegedly showed his driving privileges had been revoked for no proof of insurance.<\/p>\n

The vehicle he was driving was registered in someone else\u2019s name, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n

However, the complaint notes that Sandahl had produced a vehicle title during a previous stop on August 23.<\/p>\n

That title showed the vehicle was purchased in 2024, according to the court filing.<\/p>\n

The complaint also refers to a history of insurance issues linked to Sandahl.<\/p>\n

It states there have been at least seven citations for no proof of insurance.<\/p>\n

The oldest listed offense dates back to March 2023, according to the complaint.<\/p>\n

The filing also notes two prior convictions for no insurance within the last ten years.<\/p>\n

Both of those convictions were 2024 cases in Dakota County, according to court records.<\/p>\n

Minnesota law requires drivers to carry insurance on their vehicles at all times.<\/p>\n

The Minnesota Department of Public Safety shares insurance and driver’s license information on its\u00a0official website<\/a>.<\/p>\n

At this stage, the charges against Brian Gregory Sandahl are only allegations.<\/p>\n
