DILWORTH, Minn.<\/strong> (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>) \u2013 A Moorhead woman faces a felony charge after a stolen iPhone valued at $1,900 was recovered from a recycling kiosk inside the Dilworth Walmart.<\/p>\n

Adrianna Nicole Lamantia, 36, of Moorhead<\/strong>, is charged with receiving stolen property following an investigation by the Dilworth Police Department.<\/p>\n

According to a criminal complaint filed in Clay County District Court, the case began with a phone reported stolen in Fargo.<\/p>\n

Stolen iPhone Tracked to Dilworth Walmart<\/h2>\n

On June 23, 2026, Dilworth police received a report about a stolen cellphone transmitting its location from an ecoATM kiosk.<\/p>\n

The machine was located inside the Walmart Supercenter at 415 34th Street North in Dilworth.<\/p>\n

The phone’s owner told authorities that her device had disappeared in Fargo the previous day.<\/p>\n

According to the complaint, the owner had set the phone down for a few minutes before discovering it was missing.<\/p>\n

The device was identified as an Apple iPhone 17 Pro Max, valued at approximately $1,900.<\/p>\n

Police recovered the phone from the ecoATM machine during their investigation.<\/p>\n

Identification and Photo Lead to Suspect<\/h2>\n

Investigators examined information associated with the cellphone transaction.<\/p>\n

According to court documents, the person who sold the stolen phone to the kiosk provided identification belonging to Lamantia.<\/p>\n

The machine also captured a photograph during the sale.<\/p>\n

The complaint states that the person photographed appeared to match the identification provided during the transaction.<\/p>\n

Records indicated the phone was sold to the machine on or about June 23, 2026.<\/p>\n

Those findings became part of the evidence supporting the receiving stolen property charge.<\/p>\n

Felony Charge Filed in Clay County<\/h2>\n

Prosecutors charged Lamantia with one felony count of receiving stolen property under Minnesota Statute 609.53<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The law prohibits knowingly receiving, possessing, transferring, buying, or concealing stolen property.<\/p>\n

The complaint alleges that Lamantia knew or had reason to know the iPhone was stolen.<\/p>\n

Because the device was valued at more than $1,000, the charge carries a maximum penalty of five years in prison, a $10,000 fine, or both.<\/p>\n

The complaint does not accuse Lamantia of personally stealing the phone in Fargo.<\/p>\n

Case Filed in Clay County Court<\/h2>\n

The case is filed in Minnesota’s Seventh Judicial District under court file number 14-CR-26-3494<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

A summons is listed on the criminal complaint.<\/p>\n

The allegations have not been proven in court. Lamantia is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.<\/p>\n
