VILLARD TOWNSHIP, Minn.<\/strong> (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>) \u2014 A Wadena man was injured Friday night when his pickup collided with a semi in Todd County.<\/p>\n

The crash happened November 6, 2026, at approximately 8:49 p.m. along westbound U.S. Highway 10.<\/p>\n

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the collision occurred near milepost 111 in Villard Township.<\/p>\n

The accident involved a 2016 Ford F-150 pickup and a 1994 Freightliner semi.<\/p>\n

Pickup and Semi Collide on Highway 10<\/h2>\n

The State Patrol reported that both vehicles were traveling westbound on Highway 10 before the collision.<\/p>\n

The Ford F-150 and Freightliner semi collided near milepost 111.<\/p>\n

Investigators reported that the road surface was dry when the crash occurred.<\/p>\n

Authorities have not released additional details explaining what caused the vehicles to collide.<\/p>\n

Brian William Heidemann, 53, of Wadena, Minnesota, was driving the 2016 Ford F-150.<\/p>\n

Heidemann suffered non-life-threatening injuries during the collision.<\/p>\n

He was transported to Staples Hospital for medical treatment, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.<\/p>\n

Authorities confirmed that Heidemann was wearing his seat belt when the crash occurred.<\/p>\n

The report also indicated that the Ford’s airbags did not deploy.<\/p>\n

Investigators did not suspect alcohol as a factor involving Heidemann.<\/p>\n

Brainerd Semi Driver Escapes Injury<\/h2>\n

Devin James Lokken, 25, of Brainerd, Minnesota, was operating the 1994 Freightliner semi.<\/p>\n

Lokken was not injured in the collision, according to the official crash report.<\/p>\n

He was wearing his seat belt and did not require transportation to a hospital.<\/p>\n

Authorities reported that alcohol was not suspected as a factor involving Lokken.<\/p>\n

The report listed airbag deployment as not applicable for the Freightliner.<\/p>\n

Several emergency agencies assisted the Minnesota State Patrol following the Friday night collision.<\/p>\n
