CHASKA, MN<\/strong> (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>) \u2013 A Mankato man was injured Thursday afternoon after a pickup truck collided with a stopped Kenworth truck, triggering a three-vehicle crash in Chaska.<\/p>\n

The accident happened November 5, 2026, at approximately 2:40 p.m. near Highway 41 and Pioneer Trail in Carver County.<\/p>\n

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a Chevrolet Silverado was traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes of Pioneer Trail before the collision.<\/p>\n

Pickup Strikes Truck at Traffic Signal<\/h2>\n

The State Patrol reported that a 2024 Chevrolet Silverado was traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes along Pioneer Trail.<\/p>\n

As the pickup approached Highway 41, it collided with a 2022 Kenworth straight truck.<\/p>\n

The Kenworth was stopped at a traffic signal on southbound Highway 41.<\/p>\n

The force of the initial impact caused the Kenworth to collide with a 2024 Audi S3.<\/p>\n

All three vehicles were involved in the collision.<\/p>\n

Road conditions were reported as dry at the time of the accident.<\/p>\n

Mankato Driver Suffers Injuries<\/h2>\n

The Audi driver was identified as Dylan John Whitney, 41, of Mankato, Minnesota<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

According to the State Patrol, Whitney suffered non-life-threatening injuries.<\/p>\n

Two Twelve Medical Center was listed as his healthcare facility following the collision.<\/p>\n

Investigators confirmed that Whitney was wearing his seat belt.<\/p>\n

The Audi’s airbags did not deploy during the crash.<\/p>\n

The Silverado driver was identified as Thomas Richard Heiland, 56, of Victoria, Minnesota<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

According to the State Patrol, Heiland was not classified as injured.<\/p>\n

However, the report listed Fairview Southdale Hospital as his healthcare facility.<\/p>\n

Heiland was wearing his seat belt, and the Silverado’s airbags deployed during the collision.<\/p>\n

Kenworth Driver Escapes Injury<\/h2>\n

The Kenworth driver was identified as Daniel Nathan Jorgenson, 44, of Hopkins, Minnesota<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

According to authorities, Jorgenson was stopped at the traffic signal when his truck was struck.<\/p>\n

He was not injured and did not require reported hospital treatment.<\/p>\n

The State Patrol confirmed that Jorgenson was wearing his seat belt.<\/p>\n

Emergency Crews Respond to Chaska Intersection<\/h2>\n

Several emergency agencies assisted at the accident scene.<\/p>\n

Responding agencies included the Chaska Police Department, Chaska Fire Department, and Carver County authorities.<\/p>\n

Alcohol was not suspected as a contributing factor for any of the three drivers.<\/p>\n
