SUMMIT TWP, MN<\/strong> (trfnews.i234.me<\/a>) \u2013 A 29-year-old Albert Lea woman was injured after her SUV collided with a tractor and rolled into a ditch in Steele County.<\/p>\n

The crash happened at approximately 12:46 p.m. on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, along Highway 30 near 22nd Avenue Southwest.<\/p>\n

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, both vehicles were traveling eastbound on Highway 30 when the collision occurred.<\/p>\n

Nissan Rolls Into Westbound Ditch<\/h2>\n

The State Patrol said a 2026 Nissan Rogue and a 2026 John Deere tractor were both heading east on Highway 30.<\/p>\n

The vehicles collided near the intersection of 22nd Avenue Southwest.<\/p>\n

After the impact, the Nissan rolled over into the westbound ditch.<\/p>\n

Road conditions were reported as dry at the time of the crash.<\/p>\n

Albert Lea Driver Suffers Non-Life-Threatening Injuries<\/h2>\n

The Nissan driver was identified as Samantha Jo Harmon, 29, of Albert Lea, Minnesota<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Authorities said Harmon suffered non-life-threatening injuries.<\/p>\n

She was transported to Owatonna Hospital<\/strong> for treatment.<\/p>\n

The State Patrol reported that Harmon was wearing a seat belt.<\/p>\n

The Nissan’s airbags deployed during the crash.<\/p>\n

Tractor Driver Not Injured<\/h2>\n

The tractor driver was identified as Curtis Allen Hortop, 48, of Owatonna, Minnesota<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Hortop was not injured in the collision.<\/p>\n

No hospital transport was reported for him.<\/p>\n

Alcohol was not suspected as a factor for either driver, according to the State Patrol.<\/p>\n

Emergency Responders Assist at Scene<\/h2>\n

Emergency crews from several agencies responded to the crash.<\/p>\n

Those agencies included Ellendale Ambulance, Ellendale Fire Department, and the Steele County Sheriff’s Office.<\/p>\n

The Minnesota State Patrol listed the incident information as believed complete in its update issued later that afternoon.<\/p>\n
